We’re excited to let you know that, at the listed times throughout the year, our school day will finish slightly earlier. This change allows our teachers and support staff to focus on professional development, which directly benefits your children.
The school day will finish at 2:00pm on the following dates:

• Thursday 12th November 2026
• Tuesday 8th December 2026
• Thursday 28th January 2027
• Thursday 11th March 2027
• Tuesday 8th June 2027
During this time, teachers and support staff will have the chance to:
● Attend subject-specific training to stay updated with the latest teaching techniques and advancements, which leads to more effective lessons.
● Connect with other teachers within our Trust to share ideas and best practices, enhancing their teaching skills.
● Participate in workshops on curriculum development, assessment strategies, and innovative teaching methods. LiFE Multi-Academy Trust and The Winstanley School demonstrates a strong commitment to enhancing staff expertise and promoting overall educational excellence. Finishing the school day at 2 pm on these dates offers significant benefits for all staff by providing dedicated time for professional development.
Additionally, these sessions cover important topics like classroom management, leadership and technology in the classroom. By fostering collaboration among schools in our Trust, we’re building a strong network of educators dedicated to providing the best possible education.
