Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire Awards

Recognition for our students..
Two of our students have been awarded certificates by The of Leicestershire, Mike Kapur, in recognition for their contributions to their community as well as their hard work and determination.

Reuben was put forward for the Special Achievement of the Year award, in recognition for his continual commitment to helping his community though his work with The Stephen Lawrence Research Centre and Citizens UK. He has been an active participant in ‘supporting others’ since he joined us in Year 7, becoming a Prefect in Year 11. We hope he continues with his interest in local and national issues in the future either as a career or a force for good in his community.

Ashton was nominated for the Young Braveheart Award. He is an exceptional role model to his peers and has taken his role as Prefect very seriously. One of his roles is to lead the school Study Club and reward scheme for all students in the school, and he has done so with confidence and conviction. His academic success is testament to the resilience and determination he has shown whilst studying for his GCSEs despite a huge personal bereavement. The fact he has continued to progress and be a beacon of hope to other students is an amazing achievement. We look forward to seeing him go on to great things in the future.
