Tuesday 8th March is International Women’s Day, and we will be holding a ‘Girls SHINE Bright Event’, at The Winstanley School. The theme is #BreakTheBias where we are encouraging our students to imagine a gender equal world that is diverse, equitable and inclusive. The aim is to create a memorable event which will inspire and further develop our students and their future aspirations. The girls will take part in Round Robin sessions where they will have the opportunity to question successful women, from a range of industries and find out more about future careers and the route to success.
This is integral to the LIFE MAT and together we are all committed to forging equality for all our students and the world that they will soon be responsible for. The event will be live streamed to all the schools in our MAT at 11.20, when over 3000 girls will be taking part in the event.
The event has been hugely successful in the past and this year we are thrilled to have Amanda Blanc, CEO of Aviva as our keynote speaker.
